Government has today (24)has been
identified Colombo ,Gampaha and Kalutara Districts as high risk zones of spreading the corona virus according to the reported corona Virus positive cases and the way of people gathered around super markets in these Districts soon after lifting the curfew this morning Presidential Media Division has announced .
Therefore government has decided to continue the curfew imposed in these Districts at present until further notice.
Earlier Government has decided to lift the curfew imposed in these Districts on 6 a.m this Friday and re - impose it in the same evening .
Due to this situation president Gotabaya Rajapakshe has introduced delivering essential goods to the doorsteps of the public in Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara in view of providing the essentials without any disturbance. This home delivery service of essential goods to the public will be implemented from tomorrow (25)and retail trade institutions including Sathosa, Arpico ,Laughs, Keels ,Cargill food city and AraLiya and nipuna rice retailers will be delivering the essential goods for public in Colombo ,Gampaha and Kalutara Districts it has been announced .
Police will give permission for these retailers to use vehicles including lorries ,vans, three wheelers and Motor cycles to supply essential goods for the public during curfew hours according to the Presidential media Division.
