in Roads at Palali and Palai Police Divisions in Northern province since last morning (15)without a permission of National Election Commission had been later removed accordance to the advise of Police ,Police Media Spokesman's Office has announced .
As using Road Batticades in roads is unnecessary Pokice have advised the Army to remove them the Office has stated.

Voting For The Seventh Presidential.Election Begun At 7 A.M
The voting for the presidential election
to elect seventh Executive President of Sri Lanka has begun 7 a.m this morning (16) at around 12,848 polling stations located islandwide .
35 Candidates including two Buddhist Monks ,A female ,A Minister and Dual Citizenship holder are being contested for the Presidency and 15,992,096 voters are being eligible to vote in the election.
As the highest number of candidates in history are being contested in this Presidential Election ,The ballot paper printed for the Election is more than two feet long .
Voters are being able to caste their vote for either one candidate or to mark preferential votes for three candidates in this Election according to the National Election Commission.
Foreign Election observers as well as local Election monitoring teams are observing the Election process of the presidential Election .More than 150,000 Election officers , 60,175 Police officers and 8080 Civil Defence Force personal are being deployed in Election duty for this year's presidential Election
This presidential election is the first election that the president,prime minister and opposition leader in office are not contesting .The total cost of the election is more Than 7500 million according to the estimates of National Election Commission
Voting is scheduled to be concluded at 5 P.m. today .

Prima Flour Company And Bakery Owners Reversed Their Decisions To Increase Flour And Bread Prices
Prima flour Company has last morning
(15)decided to increase the price of a Kilo gramme of Wheat flour by Rs.8.50 and later reversed back the price hike decision as a result of the strong opposition against the move came from the Government and Consumer Affairs Authority .
Both Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera and Comsumer Affairs Authority had stated that the Government has not given any permission to Prima company to increase the Wheat flour price .
The All Ceylon Bakery Association has also decided to increase the price of a loaf of Bread by Rs.3-5 with effect from midnight last night(15) due to the flour price hike decision ,However later withdrawn the decision as the Prima flour Company has decided not to increase the flour price .
