A Person Was Killed And Twenty Persons Injured Due To Toppling Of A Luxary Bus
A 41 year old passanger had been
killed and 25 others had been injured and hospitalized after the Luxary bus they were travelling in toppled over to a house after colliding with a high voltage lamp post near the welipanna entry of the Southern Expressway on Mathugama-Aluthgama road last evening (23).

The injured had been admitted to Nagoda Hospital.
The incident occurred when the high speed Negambo-Galle Luxary Bus Travelling to Matara carried pasangers went to a picinic crashed in to the lamp post.Welipanna Police have arrested the driver of the Bus who was under the influence of liquor at the time of the incident .
A mother and daughter walking in the road at the time of the accident were among those injured .The deceased was identified as a resident of Ahungalla

Crimes Investigations Unit have arrested two persons with 1.8 Kilo Grammes of Heroin in their possesion at Kawulupitiya area in Negambo last evening (23).
The estimated value of the haul of Heroin taken in to custody is more than Rs.one million.
The two suspects who are of the ages 37 and 48 years and residents of Kolaniya,Wella and Chilaw areas are due to be produced before Negambo Magistrate Court today (24).
