A Sudden Fire Damaged A Trade Stall In Bandarawela

A trade stall in Bandarawela city was damaged due to
a sudden fire erupted in this morning(08).

The fire brigade in Bandarawela along with Electricity board officials have doused the fire and no casualties had been reported due to the fire the Police have stated.

Cause of the fire not yet been revealed according to the Bandarawela Police.

Twelve Persons Injured Due To A Van -Lorry Collision

Twelve persons have been injured and hospitalized
after the Van they were travelling in colliding with a back of a Lorry parked in at nakathegama area in Anuradhapura.

The injured have been admitted to the Nochchiyagama Provincial Hospital for treatment.

The accident was occurred due to the Van driver fallen a sleep while driving according to the Police.

A 19 Year Old Girl Has Drowned In Ranawa Wewa

A 19 year old girl has drowned in Ranawa Wewa
(River) in Galkiriyagama last evening (07)while bathing with her mother and two cousin sisters.

The residents of the area have later recovered the body of the deceased girl.

A Sub Inspector Was Killed Due To A Motorcycle-Bus Collision

A Sub Inspector attached to the Kegalle police station
was killed after the Motorcycle he was riding in colliding with a private bus at Golahala on Kegalle-Colombo main road.

The critically injured 47 year old Sub Inspector had succumbed to his injuries on admission  to Kegalle Hospital.

Kegalle Police have arrested the private Bus driver regarding the incident.

Wild Life Officers Have Arrested Seven Hunters In Wilpattu National Wild Life Park

Wild Life officers have arrested seven persons who
were involved in illegally hunting animals at Wilpaththu National Wild Life park along with equipment in their possession at pomparippuwa area today (07).

Among the equipment taken into custody in possession of the hunters includes An Air rifle ,100 Bullets ,02 cartridges and a torch.

The suspects along with the equipment are due to be produced before the Puttalam Magistrate court.
