Cabinet Approved A Proposal To Build A Tunnel Road From Bogambara-Gatambe To Thannekumbura In Kandy

To ease the traffic congestion prevails in front of the

sacred tooth relic temple "Dalada Maligawa" Cabinet has today (04)approved a proposal to build a tunnel road from Bogamabara -Gatambe to Thannekumbura area in Kandy according to the leader of the House Minister  Lakshman Kiriella.

The closed road in front of the Dalada Maligawa will not be opened for any reason  the Minister has stated.

Three Persons Were Arrested Over Assaulting Of A Police Officer

Three persons including a bus conductor were

arrested by the Police today (04) over assaulting a polife officer last evening (03) in Hali Ela area while he was on the way home.

The injured Police Officer had been admitted to the Badulla Hospital for treatment.

The suspects had been identified as residents of Haputhale area.
