Colombo Magistrate Court To Consider The Case Against Shashi Weerasinghe On 08th Of February 2017
Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan pilapitiya has
yesterday (25)announced that the case filed against Shashi Weerasinghe the wife of Joint Opposition MP Wimal Weerawanshe on obtaining a diplomatic passport by providing false information will be taken into consideration on 08th of February next year (2017).
The Chief Magistrate has also issued summons to witnesses of the case against Shashi Weerasinghe as per the request of Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to appear before court on that date.
MP Wimal Weerawanshe too faced a similar charge on obtaining a diplomatic passport during previous regime by providing false information.

A wild elephant who had done an extensive damage to the houses/cultivations and killing people in several
areas in Anuradhapura District had been captured and due to be sent to an Elephant Orphanage in Horowpathana area (North Central Province) according to the Police.
The captured Elephant had done an extensive damage to the properties and cultivations and killing people in Thanthirimale,Pemaduwa and Oyamaduwa areas in Anuradhapura District it has been reported.

Two Persons were Arrested With 45 Kilo grammes Of Gun Powder At Madawachchiya
Madawachchiya (In North Central Province) Police
had arrested two persons attached to an Explosive Store which maintained at Madawachchiya area without a valid license.
Police have also taken into custody 45 kilo grammes of gun powder and other equipment in possession of the suspects it has been revealed.
Madawachchiya Police are conducting an investigations on the incident.

A Motor Cyclist Was Killed After His Motor Cycle Veered Off The Road In Bambalapitiya
A 20 year old Motor cyclist was killed due to his Motor
Cycle veered off the road after loosing control in Bambalapitiya (In Colombo) today (25).
The Motor Cyclist was succumbed to his injuries after admisson to the Colombo South (Kalubowila) Hospital.The victim was a resident of mattakuliya area it has been revealed.
Bambalapitiya Police are conducting an investigation on tbe incident.
