A Social Worker Of Baddegama Stabbed To Death On Saturday Night
A 36 year old Social Worker at Baddegama(In Southern Province) Area has been stabbed to death by an unidentified person at Ankotuwelduwa Road in Baddegama last Saturday(05) night according to Police.
The deceased was stabbed to death while he was travelling from a Motor Bicycle the Police have said.
Soon after the incident the residents of the area have admitted 36 year old victim Gayan Dilantha to Baddegama Hospital with critical injuries however he succumbed to his injuries upon admission sources said.

President Sirisena Strictly Instructed The Police And Security Forces To Take An Effective Action Against Underworld
President Maithripala Sirisena has yesterday (06) issued strict instructions to Police and Security Forces to take an effective actions against Underworld Gangs who are spreading violence in the society since few months.

Demand Of 13 Prison Inmates Who Are On Hunger Strike At Magazine Prison Has Not Yet Been Granted
The Demand of the 13 Prison Inmates of Magazine Prison -Borella who are in hunger strike since 23rd of February has not yet been granted by the authorities according to Prison Sources.
The above mentioned Prison Inmates who are in Hunger Strike had arrested under the Terrorism Prevention Act and they are demanding authorities to file legal cases against them .These Prisoners are in remand since several years without having any legal action against them according to Prison Authorities.
Due to the continuous Hunger Strike launched by these Prisoners Prison Doctors are daily checking the health status of these Prisoners the authorities have said.
