Foreign Specialist Doctors To Ease The Shortage Of Specialist Doctors In The Country-Health Minister
Specialist Doctors will be imported from other countries to ease the shortage of Specialist Doctors in the country if other methods have failed according to Minister Of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.
The Health Ministry is planning to increase the passing rate of Post Graduate Doctors to ease the shortage of specialist doctors in the country and it that fails the Ministry is having no other option than importing Specialist Doctors from other countries the Minister has said.
Several Foreign Countries have already agreed to supply specialist doctors to Sri Lanka he has further said.

Police Have Arrested Two Persons Including A Lawyer Who Have Led A Protest Campaign Against Meethotamulle Garbage Dumped Site
The Police have today(11) arrested two persons including Lawyer Nuwan Bopage who have led a Protest Campaign recently against the Garbage Dumped Site in Meethotamulle(In Colombo) by violating a court order issued against the protest.
The two individuals have been released on bail after being produced before Colombo Magistrate Court today.
It has been reported around 700 Metric Tonnes of Garbage is being dumped daily to the 16 acre garbage dumped site in Meethotamulle which threatening the health of residents in the area .
The residents lives near the Garbage Dumped Site have continuously protested by calling the removal of the Site from the area citing health risks.
