Police Officers Detailed For VIP Security To Wear Uniforms
The Police Department has announced today that the Police Officers detailed for VIP Security should be dressed in uniform while on duty with immediate effect.
Minsitry Of Health Dissolved The Board Of Directors Of Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital
The Ministry Of Health today (11) has dissolved the Board Of Directors of the Sri Jayawardenapura Teaching Hospital in Kotte with immediate effect.According to the Ministry Sources Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena had decided to dissolved the Board Of Directors of the Hospital which is the only Semi Government Hospital in Sri Lanka.According to the Ministry the reason behind this move is various complaints received against the management of the hospital recently.
The new board of directors is to be appoint during next week as a part of the management reforms at the hospital the Ministry has stated.Till the new board has been appointed a competent interim board to be appointed with effect from tomorrow the ministry sources said.The 3 year term of the board of directors in the hospital is scheduled to be completed this December according to the hospital sources.
