A Rental Income Tax,For House Owners, To Be Introduced From Next Year

Sri Lankan Government is due to introduce a   House rental Income tax with effect from 01st of April next year in view of increasing the governmen's income proposed under the Aid programme of International Monetary Fund(IMF)  the IMF has  announced.

A Tax like House rental income  tax  will be introduced  to increase the Income of the

government the IMF has stated.

 

A Student Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Knife Attack

A Student attached to a Popular School in Kandy had been injured an

d hospitalized due to a,Knife attack received from another student of the school according to the Kandy Police.   

The knife attack occurred as a result of a brawl between the  two students infront  of the school and the injured student has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Kandy General Hospital  it has been reported.The cause behind the knife attack  has not yet been revealed and the Kandy Police are investigating on the incident.

 

Tikri Manike Express Train Derailed

The Tikiri Manike Express train travelling from Colombo Fort to Nanu oya had derailed  between Thalawakale and Watagoda Railay stations last  night (15) according to Sri Lanka Railways Department .As a result the Colombo -Badulla train had been restricted to Colombo Fort to Hatton and Nanuoya the Department has,stated.

One of the engines attached to Tikiri Manike express train had caused the derailment of the train according to sources.

23 Year Old Ukrainan Female Injured After Colliding With A Tunnel

A 23 year old Ukraine n  Female has been critically injured and hospitalized after colliding with a tunnel between Ohiya and Pattipola train stations whilst travelling on the footboard of colombo -Badulla bound  Udarata Manike train  today (15).The critically injured female  had been admitted to Diyathalawa base hospital according to the Haputale Police.

This incident  occurred whilst the foreign female travelling to Badulla fron Colombo  with her relatives it has been Revealed .
