Investigation Launched Regarding Circulation Of G.C.E O/Lvel Examnation

The Department of Examinations has launched an investigation regarding the circulation of the English Language  question paper of the ogoing GCE Ordinary Level Examination which was held yesterday(09) via WhatsApp.The English Paper was Circulated via WhatsApp for students to copy answers during the exam  the Commissioner General Of Examinations  Amith Jayasundare has stated.


However it did not affect the confidentiality  of the English Language question paper the Commissioner has stressed.The Examinations Department has also lainched an investigation regarding  an alleged error of the Sinhala language question paper of this years Examination it has been announced

Presidential Ekection To Be Held Between September-October Period

Sri Lanka's  Presidential Election  is due to be held between17 th of September to16th of October this year the Elections Commission has announced yesterday(09).


The nominations for the Presidential Election will be accepted within the Specified time frame in terms of the Provisions of the Constitution  according to the Commission.

Former Minister's ,Son Nauzer Fowzie Arrested Over An Assault

 The Former Provincial Councillot Nauzer Fowzie who is the son of Former Minister A,H,M Fowzie was arrested by the Colpetty Police yesterday (07)  over allegedly assaulting a person following an accident involving his vehicle.


Nauzer Fowzie was arrested at School lane in Colpetty following the incident.However later he was released on police bail.Colpetty Police are investigating  the incident.

Town Hall Area Was Blocked Due To A Non Academic Staff Protest

 The Town hall area in Colombo City  was blocked last evening (07)  due to a protest staged by around 5000  University non academic staff  personal demanding solutions for their service demands in front of the University Grants Commission office  (UGC)  in Colombo -07 .

Organized Crime Leader Manna,Ramesh Brought Back To Sri Lanka

 The Criminal Investigations Department(CID) Officials had brought the most wanted man in.connection  with organized  crimes  and a number of murders  the Organized Crime Leader   Ramesh Priyajanaka  allias "Manna Ramesh "to the country last morning  (07) through the Katunayake International Airport.



The 32 year old resident of Awissawella area was arrested in Dubai by the Security officials  there few months ago At the time  he ,was brought back to Sri lanka the security in and out of the Airport has tightened it has,been reported.
