Four Including Two Navy Commanders Remanded Over Keeping Ice Narcotic In Possession

The Colombo Additional Magistrate has remandes the four suspects including the Two Lieutenant Commanders of Navy who were arrested In possession of 510 Grammes of Ice narcotic on 19th of April until 09th of May .

The four suspects

were in Police custody were remanded after being produced before Colombo Additional Magistrate Tharanga Mahawatte on last friday(26).They were arrested by Mulleriyawa Police on 19th of April in possession of 510 Grammes of Ice narcotic with the street value of Rs.7.5 million .

Landslide Risk Caused Evacuation Of 13 Families In Malliththagolla

Landslide Risk occurred in Malliththagolla area at Ella (Badulla District ) is causing evacuation of families living in the area according to the National Building Research Organization(NBRO).

Due to the landslides occurred in the Malliththagolla area during last few days 13 families in the area were evacuated in two occassions the NBRO has,stated.A special team from.the NBRO is due to visit the area where another landslide occured on last wednesday to invrstigate the lansslide risk.of the area. Meanwhile due to the landslide risk .The Disaster Msnagement Center in Badulla District advised the public to be cautious when travelling Along the Ella-wellawaya road.

Police Arrested Four Persons In Possession Of 30 KG Of Narcotics

Police have arrested four persons in posession of nearly 30 Kilo grammes of narcotics at a large scale drug trafficking ring in Biyagama area(Western Province).

Accordingly the four

were arrested in possession of 15 Kilo Grammes of Ice narcotic14 Kilo grammes of Hashish narcotic and 900 Grammes of Heroin .According to the Police the value of the seized drugs is estimated as Rs.180 million

Newly Constructed ITC Ratnadipa Hotel Inaugurated

The newly constructed luxary hotel in Colombo ITC Ratnadipa a part of the Indian hotel chain ITC Hotels and managed by its subsidary in Sri Lanka Welcome Hotels Private Limited was inaugurated by President Ranil Wkramasinghe yesterday(25).
