Former President Gotabhaya Denied The Charges Of Cardinal

 Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksha has denied four allegations levelled against him by the Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith regarding the Easter Sunday attacks.

According to the Former


Rajapakshe the the first allegation levelled by Cardnial during a commemoration held regarding the fifth anniversary of  Easter Sunday attacks saying former President Gotabhaya phoned him soon after  receiving of the report issued by the President's commission on Easter Sunday  attacks and told it is hard to implement the  recommendations made by the Commission to arrest those who are responsible  and three other charges levelled aganst him are not true.

The Former president says he didnt call the cardinal like that and informed him  like that and admitted that  there cant be any person linked to him   among those who were named by the President s commission as responsible for easter sunday attacks."Muslim community didnt support during the presidential election campaign in 2019 "former president has further stated .


Socialist Youth Association To Level Bribary Charges Against President

 The Socialist Youth Association has decided to submit a proposal  against current president Ranil wikramasinghe to the Btibary Commission demanding an inquiry    over using  the properties of National Youth Services Council for his election campaign .


The Socialist Youth Council is due to submit this proposal to the bribary commission this evening (26) it has been stated.



Former Health Minister And Eight Others Were Further Remanded

Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella  and Eight other officials attached to the Health sector who are in prison over the charge of importing substandard Human Immunoglobulin injection vials have been remanded until 06th of May by the Maligalanda Magistrate recently.


They were further remanded after being produced before Maligakanda Magistrate Court last Monday(22) .

Seven Were Killed And Twenty Injured After A Motor Car Hit The Crowd

 Seven Persons including a samall.child  have died and twenty were injured and hospitalized due to.a Motor car participated a Motor cross rally  at Foxhill in Diyathalawa skidded off the track and colliding with a group of spectators  yesterday (21).


The injured were admitted to the Diyathalawa Hospital for treatment.Meanwhile Police have arrested  the two drivers of the Motor car which hit the crowd whilst receiving treatment in.the hospitalThe two drivers were later remanded until 30 th of April.by the Bandarawela Magistrate .




Deadline For Issuing NIC's For Pesons Over 40 Years Extended

The Department For Registration Of Persons  has decided to extend the deadline given for issuing National Identity Cards(NIC) for individuals over the age of  40 years  who have not  been able to obtain a National Identity Card due to the absence of the birth certificate till 30 th of June it has been announced.
