A Sudden Fire Destroyed A Land In Kpthmale

 A Sudden fire  had destroyed  a 10 acre land at Harangala area in Kothmale yesterday (09)  it has been reported.


A shop has been damaged due to the fire  and the Armed forces had managed to douse the  fire  Last evening according to reports.


A Person Was Injured And Hospitalized Due To Gun Shooting

A Person was injured and hospitalized due to a Gun shooting  incident at Dandugama in Ja-Ela area (Western Province)according to the Ja-Ela police.The injured who is identified as a 47 year old drug addict  and involved in Drug dealing has been admitted to the  Ragama Teaching Hospital for treatment.


Two unidentified Gunmen had opened fire at  the injured  infront of his house in Ja-Ela and fled from the scene it has been reported.


Two Persons Were Killed Due To Lorry-Motorcycle Collision

 Two persons were killed and another was critically injured and hospitalized due to a Lorry-Motorcycle collision  occurred at Hilevel road in Kosgama -Miriswatte area  yesterday(09).Accordingly A father and son of a,family were killed and the Mother of the deceased son was critically injured and admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.


A tyre of the Lorry which transported Cement to Awissawella area was exploded and travelled to the opposite direction and caused the collision with the Motorcycle travelled behind   it has been revealed.The deceased and injured were residents of Kosagama area according to the Police ,Kosgama Police are conducting an inquiry on the incident.

Veteran Announcer/Artist Ramaya Wanigasekera Passed Away


 Veteran Popular  Radio Announcer and Artist Ramya Wanigasekara has passed awsy this morning  (08) accotding to family sources.

She was 73 years old at the time of her death and she had acted many stage and tele dramas including popular Kelani palama and Kande gedara.

May she attain supreme bliss of nibbana.
