Army Personal Involved In Health Care Services In Govt Hospitals
Sri Lanka Army has deployed it's personal in government hospitals yesterday (01) due to the island wide strike action launched by 72 Health trade unions by demanding DAT allowance paid to the doctors .
Health profesdions including Para medics,Professions Supplementery to medicine and Minor staff attached to the government hospitals are participating this strike which is being continued in govt hospitals today(02) as well.
Nine Arrested Over Protestibg InFront Of CID Released On Bail
Nine activists arrested whilst protesting in front of the Criminial Investigations Department (CID) headquarters in Colombo demanding the arrest of former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella last wrdnesday (31) were released on bail yesterday (01).
The nine activists were released on bail after being produced before Colombo Fort Magistrate Court yesterday.They were arrested by the Police after a group of activists formed keheliya go gama snd protested in front of CID headquarters .
Former Health MinIster Rambukwella Appeared Before CID
The former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella arrived at the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) headquarters in Colombo this morning (02) to give a statement regarding the procurement of controversial Human Immunoglobulin injection.
The former Health Minister appeared before CID according to the court order issued by the Maligakanda Magistrate Court yesterday(01) to report to the CID at 9 a.m this morning to provide the statement.Former Minister Rambukwella has failed to appear before CID as scheduled on last Wednesday(31) citing another case in Colombo High Court .Maligakanda Magistrate Court has yesterday (01) imposed a foreign travel ban on Former Health Minister as,well
CEYPETCO Revised Fuel Pricea
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) has revised it's fuel prices with effect from midnight last night(31).
Accordingly A Liter of Octane -92 Petrol has been increased by Rs.5 from Rs.366 to Rs.371,A liter of Octane-95-Euro 4 Petrol decreased by Rs.8 From Rs.464 to Rs.456,A liter of Auto Diesel increased by Rs.5 from Rs.358 to Rs.363 and A Liter of Super Diesel decreased By Rs.7 from Rs.475 to Rs.468 and the liter of Lanka Kerosene oil price increased by Rs.26 from.Rs.236 to Rs.262.
