Navy Arrested Six Persons With 200 KG Of Narcotics

 The Sri Lanka Navy had arrested six persons  along with 200 kilo Grammes of narcotics whilst transporting from a Muti day fishing boat in the seas of Galle yesterday (05).


According to the Sri Lanka Navy the Vessel was transporting a total of 150 Kilo Grammes of ICE And 50  Kilo Grammes of Heroin .The apprehended fishermen are fishermen residing  in Galle and Beruwala areas.Naval Intelligence Division and the Police Narcotics Bureau had jointly conducted the raid.

Twenty Eight Airport Trade Union Leaders Sent On Compulsory Leave

Twenty Eight Leaders of the Joint Trade Union Alliance attached to the Katunayake International Airport were sent on compulsory leave on the orders of  the Chairman of  Airport and Aviation Services Limited Chaminda,Athula Galketiya..


The Trade union Leaders who are under compulsory leave  are being accused of sending letters to Airlines that have flight connections with Sri Lanka in an attempt to disrupt all Air services of Sri Lankan Airlines it has been stated by the Airlines Management .

 The Trade Union leaders are being barred from entering Airport premises untill the imvestiga

A Mother And Daughter Were Killed Due To A Van -Lorry Collision

 A Mother and Dsughter were killed due to a Van-Lorry collision occurred at the  three meters away from Kurundugahahathapm a entry  in Souhern Expressway yesterday (04).


The deceased were residents of Ambalanthota area and they have faced this incident whilst returning from Colombo it has been reported.The deceased daughter was a deputy Manager attached to the Ambalanthota branch of Bank.of Ceylon ithas been revealed.

CEB Cancelled All Leave Of It's Employees

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) had cancelled all leave of it's employees with effect from yesterday (02) due to the three day  protest campaign they are due to be launched from tpday(03).


All Ceylon Electricity Board employees have decided to launch a three day protest campaign from today against the new Electricity Act introduced by the government .
