Former Health Secretary Arrested Over Supplying Fake Injection Vials

The Former Secretary to the Ministry Of Health Janaka Sri Chandragupta has been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over supplying a Fake stock of Human Immunoglobulin injection vials to Government Hospitals.He was arrested on his arrival to the CID to give a statement regarding the allegations levelled against him. 


The Former Health Secretary has been remanded until 27 th of December after being  produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate Court.The Court has also ordered to close the Medical supllies office at the Health Ministry in view of allowing authorities to check the docuements related to the injection vials in question .  Four Persons including the former Director of Medical Supplies Dicision(MSD) Dr.Kapila,Wikramanayake are being imprisoned over supplying of fake Immunoglobulin vials to the Government Hoapitals.

Fifty For Judges And Magistrates To Be Transferred

Fifty four Judges,District Judges and Magistrates are scheduled to be transferred with effect from 01st of January next year according to the Judicial Service Commission .

Around 7061 Persons Affected Due To Heavy Showers

Around 7061 Persons are being affected  due to the  ongoing  heavy showers prevailing in the Island according to the Disaster Management Center(DMC).


These are belongs to 2271 families and 33 houses have been partially damaged  due to the rain  the DMC had stated .

 

A Person Was Killed And Another Injured Due To An Accident

A person was killed and another were injured and hospitalized after they were colliding with a Lorry whilst crossing theroad near Main Bus stop at Homagama in High Level road according to the Homagama Police headquarters .


The injured person had been admitted to the Homagama Base Hospital for treatment.The deceased was identified as a 34 year old resident of Bakamuna area.



 

Navy Arrested Two Persons With 2820 Narcotic Pills In Possession

 Sri Lanka Navy had arrested  two persons with 2820 Narcotic tablets in their possession last friday (15) during a search mission carried out at Seelawathuea,Kallaru and Achchanakulam areas  


The suspects are of the ages 22and 23 years and they were hande over to the Seelawathura Police for further investigations .
