CEYPETCO Increased The Fuel Prices

 The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco)had increased the prices of all Fuel varities except the price of  Octane-92 Petrol with effect from midnight tonight(31) .

Accordingly the Price of  a liter of Octane-92  petrol has been reduced by Rs.09 and the prices of Octane-95 Petrol liter,Lanka White Diesel Liter,Lanka Super Diesel liter and Kerosene oil  liter had been increased by Rs.03,Rs.05 ,Rs.10 and Rs.07 respectively .

PHI"s To Launch A Two Day Island Wide From Today(30) Strike

 Public Health Inspectors are due to launch a two day Island wide strike action on today(Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday) over demanding solutions for  several of their service demands according to the Public Health Inspectors Union.

Due to the strike, activities including inspecting trade stalls and canteens and Dengue sites will be halted  the PHI Union had announced .

Navy Had Arrested Two Persons With 104 KG Of Kerala Cannabies

 Sri Lanka Navy had arrested two persons over keeping in possession of  104 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabies at Vaddukoddai area in Jaffna(Northern province) yesterday (29).

Accordingly the two suspects were arrested whilst transporting the haul of Kerala cannabies packed in 50 parcels in three gunny sacks in a Three wheeler the Navy had stated.

The street value of the  consignment of narcotics is believed to be around Rs.41 million.The Navy Officers had handed over the stock of Kerala cannabies,along with the two suspects of the ages 25 and 40 years to Vaddukoddai police for a legal action.
