President To Leave Cuba To Attend G77 Summit

President Ranil Wikramasinghe is due to leave Cuba's capital Havana to attend and address the G77± China leaders Summit scheduled to be held from 15-16th of September 2023.

President Wikramasinghe is participating the summit as a result of an official invitation recieved fro Cuban President Miguel Diaz Canel.Sri Lankan President Wikramasinghe is also due to hold bilateral talks with the Cuban President .

Inland Revanue Bill Passed In Parliament

The Inland Revanue Amendment Bill was passed in Parliament by a majority of 45 votes yesterday(07).

Accordingly 103 MP's voted in favor of the bill ,Whilest 58 voted against it .

NBRO Extended Landslide Warning Issued To Five Districts

The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) had yesterday (07) extended it"s early landslide warning issued to five districts until this evening (08).

Accordingly the yellow landslide warning issued to Galle,Kalutara ,Kandy,Ratnapura and Kegalle districts had been extended until 4 p.m today (08).NBRO had urged the public to pay attention to pre landslide signs like developing cracks on the ground ,In the floor or walls of buildings constructed on slope areas of those Districts .

Import Restrictions Imposed On All Vehicles To Be Removed

The Import restrictions imposed on Importing all Vehicles excluding Private vehicles will be removed completely by the end of this year according to Ministry of Finance.

The heads of the Finance Ministry had informed the Parliamentary Select committee on state finance in this regard when the Committee had questioned on this .

The Parliamentary Select Committe on State Finance had met in Parliament yesterday (05) under the Patronage of it's Chairman MP ,Dr.Harsha De Silva.
