The Ministry of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development had decided to introduce a price formula for Water tarrifs and revise Water tarrifs once in every six months according to the Secretary to the Ministry R.M.W.S Samaradivakara .
The new Price formula will be based on the cost of Water treatment including Electricity bills and cost of Chemical substances he had stated.
The Ministry of Water Supply had increased the Warer tarrifs with effect from 01st of August.

Four persons including three females had died and four others had been injured and hospitalized due to a Lorry -Van collision occurred at Thambuttegama -Eriyagama area(Anuradhapura District) this
This incident occurred when a Van had collided with the rear part of a Lorry travalling in the same direction it has been revealed.
