51 Year Old Grass Cutter Remanded Over The Death Of A Child

 The 51 year old Grass cutter who is responsible for the death of a five and half year old child in Mulleriyawa who died due to  the wounds caused by the lawnmover use to cut grass   had been remanded untill 15 th of June after been produced before the court .

The boy had died due to severe bleeding caused  by the cuts of his abdomen received through the blades of the grass cuttinng mechine last Thursday (08).

The incident occurred whilst the Boy"s mother is at her workplace leaving the child at her Grand father's residence for safety.Police had arrested the Grand father too yesterday (10)over handing ocer the child to the grass cutrer to take care 

Six Students Swept Away Whilst Bathing In Talpe Sea Area

 Six students who sat for the recently concluded G.C.E Ordinary Level Examination had swept away due to the  strong sea currents whilst bathing at the sea area in Talpe ,Habaraduwa (Southern Province ) last evening (10).

Police officers along with the residents of the area had managed to save five out of the six students but one student was dissapeared due to the incident .

The missing student was  16 year old student and  resident of  Pothuhara area in Kurunagala district (North Western province ) it has been reported.Police had launched a special mission to find the missing student.

This incident occured when 41 students including above group of students went to a trip to  the sea area after completing the  examination with their tution teacher.

A Student Was Killed Due To A Bus Accident

 A 16 year old student was killed and 10 others were injured and hospitalized after the passanger Bus they were travelling in slipped and veering of the road at Makeli ella area in Kalutara District ( Western Province) yesterday(10).

The injured were admitted to Bulathsinghala Provincial Hospital for treatment.The incident occurred when the Bus slipped and veering off the road and crashed in to a bund at Makeli Ella area it has been reported .

The deceased was a resident of Mathugama area.Baduraliya Police are investigating over the incident.

Police Arrested Seven Persons,In Connection With The Death Of A Person Died In Police Custody

 Police had arrested seven persons including a Sub Inspector attached to the Police Narcotic Bureau over the death of an Assistant Manager  of the Vocational.Training Authority in Narahenpita .

The deceased earlier reported as abducted by a group arrived in a Jeep was taken into custody by Police and died whilst in Police custody it has been now reported .He was arrested by the Police over his connection to a drug network it has been revealed.

He died due to bleeding as a result of an assault it had been revealed .
