Epidemiologists Ruled Out Listeria Threat In Sri Lanka

 There's no threat of spreading Listeria bacterial infection in Sri Lanka at present according to the Epidemiology Unit  .


Although some had rumoured that the three deaths occurred at Sripadha area recently might be due to the Listeria infection it has not yet been confirmed the unit had stated


Election Commission To Decide On Local Government Election Today (23)

 The Election Commission is due to hold a meeting today (23)to decide whether to hold the Local government elections  on 25 th of April this year as planned earlier .

scheduled to be participated at this meeting due to be held at 10 a.m today .

Muslim Community To Start Ramalan Fasting Tomorrow(24)

 The Muslim Community in Sri Lanka is scheduled to commence  fasting from Dawn tomorrow(24) for the month of Ramadan the Grand Mosque in Colombo has announced.


However the full moon has not yet been sighted yesterday (22) as usual the Mosque has stated .  

Sri Lanka Received The First Installment Of IMF Loan-President Wikramasinghe

 Sri Lanka had received the  first installment of the International Monetary Fund's extended loan facility President Ranill Wikramasinghe had informed the Parliament today (22). Four Youth Had Drowned Whilst Bathing In Ellawala Wster Fall

 Four youth had drowned and disappeared  whilst bathing in Ellawala Water fall in Wellawaya Police division at Monaragala District (Uva Province) today (21)according to the Police.


Four out of the Ten youth who had visited the Ellawala Water fall to take a bath had drowned and disappeared in the waters it has been reported.,The Disappeared youth were residents of Kalmunai and seindamarudu areas  of the ages 22 and 23 years it has been reported .
