A Tea Factory Had Been Destroyed Due To A Fire

 The Escadale Private Tea factory at Park Estate in Kandapola,Nuwara Eliya district had been completely destroyed due to a sudden fire occurred in the factory in wee hours of last morning (18) according to the reports.

The fire trucks belong to Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council and police officers attached to Kandapola Police had jointly doused the fire before it speead further.

No casualties has been reported due to the incident and the cost of thd damage occurred due to the fire has  not yet been estimated according to the authorities .Kandapola Police are investigating to find out the cause behind the fire .

A Landslide Threat For Three Districts

 A landslide threat is being occurred  in  three districts  Due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing in the country at present according to the National Building Research Organization (NBRO).

Accordingly a Landslide threat is being occurred in Badulla ,Kegalle and Kurunagala districts and people living in slope and mountainous areas should be vigilant over  the symptoms of landslides the NBRO has stated.

Employees Of Water Board Launched A Work To Rule Campaign

 Employees attached to National Water supplies And Drainage Board including Engineers had lauched a continuous Work to rule campaign demanding solutions for their

  according to Trade Unions .

If the authorities failed to give solutions to tbeir  demands a stern trade union action will be taken against it the Trade Unions have stated.

Notorious Criminal Buru Moona Arrested

 The Notorious Criminal " Buru Moona "who had escaped whilst in Police custody had  been arrested in Awissawella area by the Police yesterday (17).

The suspect was arrested by the Immigration and Emigration officials at Katunayake International Airport whilst attempting to fly to  Dubai and handed over to the Katinayaka Police from where he had escaped on 03rd of March.

Buru Moona had acted as the Gunman in nine murder cases according to the Police.

President Dissolved Teachers Transfer Board

 President Ranil Wikramasinghe had suspended and dissolved the Teachers Transfer Board attached to the Ministry Of Education with immediatte effect.

Accordingly 12,500 transfers of teachers scheduled to be implemented under the recommendation of teachers transfer board will be abolished with this move it has been reported.
