 The Inspector General Of Police (IGP) Chandana Wikramaratne has promoted 26 Assistant Superintendent Of Police (ASP) personal as Superintendent Of Police (SP) personal  in various Police divisions due to an urgent service requirement .

These appointments has been made with the approval of Elections commission and Ministry Of Public Security .

Ceypetco Increased The Petrol Price

Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) has increased the price of a liter of Octane-92 Petrol by Rs.30 with effect from midnight tonight (01) .

 

With this new price hike a Liter of Octane-92 Petrol has been increased to Rs.370 to Rs.400 .Meanwhile Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) has also announced that they too will increase the price of a liter of Octane -92 Petrol by Rs.30 with effect from today .

 

Imprisoned IUSF Convener Released On Bail

The convener of the Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) Wasantha Mudalige had been released on bail today (01) by the Colombo Fort Magistrate  over the three cases filed against him at the court .

 

Yesterday (31) he was released on bail over  the case filed against him under terrorism prevention act .
