Government To Import Eggs
Government has decided to import Eggs in view of reducing the rising Prices of Eggs in the local market .The Cabinet had given it's approval to import eggs proposed by the Minister of Trade Nalin Fernando .Government has decided to call international tenders to import eggs from Next Monday (09).
Government has handed over the responsibility of importing eggs to the Sri Lanka State Trading Corporation .Government is due to calculate the amount of Eggs need to the country and provide information to the Trading corporation.Government is expected to sell an Egg for less than Rs.45 after importing them from other countries . .
At present the price of an Egg in the local market is Rs.65 .

An 18 Hour Long Water Cut To Be Implemented In Colombo Tonight (07)
An 18 hour long water cut is scheduled to be implemented in eight divisions in Colombo City from 10 p.m tonight (07) until 4 p.m tomorrow (08) due to a sudden repair work in water pumping system according to the National Water Supplies and Drainage Board .
Accordingly this water cut is scheduled to be implemented in Colombo -01 ,02,03 04,07 ,09,10 and 11 due to a repair work in the water pump system which supplies water to Maligakande reservoir (Colombo ).
Laugfs Gas Compnay Had Reduced Gas Prices
The "Laugfs"Gas Company had reduced the Price of the 12.5 KG Laugfs Gas Cylinder by Rs.220 to Rs.5080 with effect from midnight last night (06) according to the Laugfs Gas Company ..
The Company has also , reduced the price of 5 KG Laugfs Gas cylinder by Rs.88 to Rs.2032 .
A Ship Carrying 60,000 MT Of Coal Arrived Yesterday (06)
A ship carrying 60,000 Metric Tones of Coal had arrived in Colombo harbor yesterday (06) and the unloading of Coal from the ship has begun according to the Sri Lanka Coal Company .
The stock is scheduled to be dispatched to the "Lakwijaya " Power station in Norochcholai to produce electricity the authorities have stated .The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) had experienced a shortage of Coal recently which caused the extension of daily power cuts
