No Cabinet Proposal Submits To Increase Electricity Bill -Cabinet Spokesman
Although Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekare has stated A proposal to increase Electricity bill will be submitted to Cabinet Approvel without considering objections made by Public utilities commission ,No such Proposal was submitted to the Cabinet this week ,The Cabinet spokesman Minister Bandula Gunawardane has stated .
The Cabinet spokesman has stated this during the Weekly cabinet briefing held in Colombo today (20).

Government has decided to lift the Import restrictions imposed on 10 Goods according to the State Finance Minister Ranjith Siyamabalapitiya ,Accordingly Government has decided to lift the Import restrictions imposed over 10 Goods belongs to Tourism ,Defense and Sports .
Due to the US Dollar crisis faced by Sri Lanka ,Government has imposed import restrictions on 1465 Goods since 23rd of August this year and saved US dollars 1211 in the country Government has stated ..

China To Donate 3 Million Meters Of White Clothing Matarial For School Uniforms
Chinese Government has decided to donate 03 million meters of White clothing matarial for the School children in Sri lanka according to the Chinese Embassy in Colombo.
The stock of White clothing matarial worth Rs.5 billion is scheduled to be arrived in Colombo Harbor on 06th of January in 20 containers the Embassy has stated .This stock will be sufficient for fullfill 70 percent of the White cloth matarial requirment of local school children in next year it has been announced
Sending Unskilled Housemaids Abroad To Be Stopped
Females wil not be sent abroad as house maids after 31st of March next year according tp Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara.
Accordingly females will be sent abroad after being given full training on Advanced House keeping Minister has stated.From 31st of March only skilled workers will be sent abroad as house maids in futute the Minister has stressed.
