 Around 10,000 Local Information Technologist had left the country in recent weeks  seeking overseas employment according to the Sri  Lanka Computer Association .Accordingly   10 percent of the total number of local  Information Technologists had left the country already ,Information Technology Technician | Role, Salary & More!

Due to the Digital revolution in Overseas there's a heavy demand for Information Technologist from foreign Companies  it ha  been reported.

A Fifteen Hour Water Cut Is Currently On In Five Colombo Divisions

A Fifteen hour long water cut is currently on in five divisions of Colombo  until 1 p.m tomorrow(03) according to the National Watrer Supplies and Drainage Board .Water cut to several areas in Colombo from tomorrow night - NewsRadio -  English

Accordingly this fifteen hour long water cut will be implemented in Colombo 11,12,13,14 and 15 from 10 p.m today (02) until 1 p.m tomorrow .This water cut will be implemented due to the laying of new pipelines under the Ambathale Renewal Energy project.

A Committee To Probe Irregularities In Ports Authority

 The Minister Of Ports ,Shipping and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala De Silva has appointed a  three member Committee to probe on Freud and irregularities occurred at the  Sri Lanka Ports Authority ,


The Committee is due to hand over the inquiry report to the Secretary to the Ministry of Ports and Shipping within a six month period .

Litro To Release 100,000 Gas Cylinders To The Market Daily From Today (02)

 The Litro Gas Company has planned to release 100,000 Cylinders of Gas daily to the local market from today (02) the Company has announced.

A Ship carrying 3740 Metric tons of LP Gas has arrived in Colombo Harbor yesterday (01) and the sufficient amount of Gas cylinders will be released to the market from today to ensure there will be no Gas shortage during the upcoming festive season the chairman of the Litro Gas Company Muditha Peiris has stated .

There was a shortage of Litro Gas  in the country in recent weeks .

All Government Schools Closed Today (02) For A Short Vacation

All government and government approved Schools in the country have received holidays today (02) to mark the end of the second term of  schools according to the Ministry of Education .All these schools are due to be opened for the third term next Monday (05) the Ministry has stated .


Again all the schools will receive Christmas holidays on 22nd of December and will be opened for the next term on 02nd of January .
