An Ugandan National Who Had Swallowed 17 Cocaine Pills Had Been Arrested
The Officers attached to the Anti narcotic division of the Sri Lanka Customs had today (28) arrested a 43-year-old Ugandan national who had arrived in Sri Lanka after swallowing 17 Cocaine pills ,at the Katunayake International Airport.
The suspect who had arrived in Katunayake Airport from Qatar was admitted to the hospital where the Cocaine pills he had swallowed were taken out from his stomach.The market value of the Cocaine pills recovered from the suspect is estimated as Rs.12 million
The Anti Narcotic Control Division of the Sri Lanka customs had handed over the suspect to the Police Anti Narcotic Bureau for further investigations.
Two Persons Were Killed Due To Wild Elephant Attacks
Two persons were killed due to Wild Elephant attacks occurred in two areas at Kabithigollawa area in Anuradhapura District (North Central Province) last night (27) according to police .
Accordingly A male and A female were killed due to these attacks it has been reported .
