Bar Association Of Sri Lanka to take legal action against president's decision
The Bar Association Of Sri Lanka (BASL) has announced that it will take legal action against the decision taken by President Ranil Wikramasinghe regarding declaring High Security Zones in Colombo District .
The Bar Association will take appropriate legal action against the decision in view of safeguarding the fundamental rights of the General Public the Association had stressed .
The BASL had stated that under the cover of purported order under the section 2 of the Official Secrets Act there is a possibility to detain of persons who violate such orders ,Violating the freedom of expression ,The freedom to peaceful assembly and the freedom of movement all of which are important aspects of the right of the people to dissent in Sri Lanka.

Navy Arrested Two Persons With A Stock Of Kerala Cannabis
Sri Lanka Navy had arrested two persons along with more than 155 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in their possession during a raid carried out in Ilanthadiya area in Norochholai (North western province ) today (23) .
The suspects are of the ages 35 and 40 years resides in Ragama area .Sri Lanka Navy had handed over the two suspects along with the stock of Kerala Canabies were handed over to the Norochcholai Police for a legal action .
