Three Hour Daily Power Cut To Remain For Next Two Days
Police Are Being Allowed To Keep Two Protesters Under Detention For A Three Month Period
Ministry of Defense had allowed the Police to keep the two protesters including the convener of the Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) Wasantha Mudalige who had been arrested during a protest march held in Colombo yesterday (18) ,under detention for three month period and question under the Terrorism Prevention Act .
Ministry Of Defense had authorized the Police to keep protesters Wasantha Mudalige and Hashan Gunathilake for a three month period to question under the powers vested with the Defense Minister from the Terrorism Prevention Act.
Meanwhile 16 other protesters including a Buddhist Monk who were detained yesterday whilst attending the Anti government protest march held in Colombo were released on bail by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court today (19).

Police Arrested 12 Protesters During The Anti Government Protest Held In Colombo
Police had arrested Twelve protesters including the convener of the Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) Wasantha Mudalige during the Anti - Government Protest March held at Union Place in Colombo last evening (18).
The Convener of the IUSF Wasantha Mudalige who had an arrest warrant issued against him by the Court was arrested whilst fleeing during the Protest march marched towards the President's Secretariat in Galle Face Colombo this evening .Police had used tear gas along with water cannons to disperse the Protesters it has been reported .
The Protest march which was attended by many Galle Face Protesters was grouped at Borella Junction in Colombo after facing tear gas and water cannons fired by the Police .
Meanwhile, after hearing the arrest of the group of protesters during the Protest march held this evening, Public in North Cereal Province and Students of University Of Kelaniya had protested against the move .
