Strong Sea Waves Reached Land In Some sea side areas Of Colombo And Galle

Strong sea waves reached the roads ,hotels and houses in Galle and Colombo today (02) due to the strong winds blown away across the sea areas .

Accordingly strong sea waves had reached the land area in many seaside areas including Dehiwala in Colombo and Galle ,Ambalangoda and Matara areas landing stones and fish on to the roads and houses it has been reported , Many houses as well as  roads were submerged by sea waters as a result according to authorities ,Due to the sea water ,a section of Galle road between Usmudunawa Junction to Kumarakanda Junction in Ambalangoda area has been temporarily closed .

Police have advised motorists to use an alternative roads when travelling ,Due to the arrival of South West Monsoon rain sea areas become rough the Meteorologists had announced 

 

Three Persons Including Actor Jackson Anthony Injured After Their Vehicle Colliding With A Wild Elephant

Three persons including Local Actor Jackson Anthony had been injured and hospitalized after the Vehicle they were travelled colliding with a Wild Elephant at Thalawa area in Anuradhapura District (North Central Province ) today (02) it has been reported ,

The injured were admitted to Anuradhpaura General Hospital for treatment .

Three Ships Carrying Petrol And Diesel Scheduled To Be Arrived Here Soon -LIOC

 Three ships carrying stocks of  Petrol and Diesel  are scheduled to be arrived in Sri Lanka during this Month and first half of next month according to the Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC).

Accordingly the first ship carrying fuel scheduled to be arrived from India between 13th to 15th of July and the Second ship will arrive between 29th of July to 31st of July the LIOC had stated ,The third ship carrying fuel scheduled to be here between 10-15th of August the Company had stated .

Around 90,000 Metric tones of Petrol and Diesel(30 ,000 Metric tones each ) are  scheduled to be arrived in these shipments it has been revealed ,

Train Journeys Delayed Due To A Strike

 Many train journeys were cancelled today (01) due to the Island Wide strike launched  by the Engine drivers and Rail guards demanding to provide fuel for them to report to work ,

As the Railways Department officials had agreed to provide fuel for Railways Department employees until 3 p.m today Employees had called off the strike th,is afternoon.  .Although the strike is over there's a delay of operating the Train journeys it has been  reported  

A 32 Year Old Female Had Committed Suicide With Her Two Children

 A 32 year old female had committed suicide by jumping to the Chandrika Wewa (River) in Embilipitiya Town (Ratnapura District ) with her two children of the ages 05 and 11 years it has been reported.

The female along with her 05 year old child had died due to the incident and residents of the area had rescued the 11 year old child it has been reported  .The deceased female had wrote a letter before committing suicide and according to that letter she had taken this step by stating taking medicine for a mental illness is not an easy thing to do .She believed  to be taken medicine for a mental illness it has been revealed ,
