Many Vehicles Including Private Buses Are Due To Be Out Of The Roads Tomorrow (15)_

 Due to the severe  fuel shortage at present ,Around 90 percent of Private Buses as well as majority of Private vehicles will not be running tomorrow (15) according to the authorities .


There's a severe shortage of Diesel and Petrol in the country and as a result long queues can be seen in front of Fuel stations ,Many fuel stations were shut down due to the fuel shortage it has been reported .

Although Government had earlier  announced that Private buses will be received the fuel through Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) depots that facility too halted according to Private Bus owners .

Unloading Of Gas Began From A Ship In Colombo Harbor-Litro Gas

 Unloading of  Gas from the ship carrying 3900 Metric tons of Gas is currently underway after paying  the required amount US Dollars 2.5 million to the ship this evening (14) according to the Litro Gas Company,


This ship had arrived in Colombo harbor on 08th of June and the unloading of Gas from it has been delayed due to the Dollar shortage the Litro Gas had announced. As a result Litro Gas had suspended the distribution of Gas to the consumers for 11 days ,

Litro Gas  is planning to resume the  distribution of  Gas to the consumers from tomorrow(15)

This stock of Rice can be purchased through CWE outlets ,Corporative s  and Super Markets for Rs.190 per a Kilo Gramme the Minister has stated ,Another 500 Metric tons of Rice had been issued to the CWE Outlets yesterday (12)he has stressed ,

At the moment Country has stocks of Rice sufficient for this year Minister had further stated 

Ceylon Electricity Board Chairman Had Resigned

 The Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) M.M.C Ferdinadu had resigned from his post following the controversial statement he has made before the COPE committee regarding the Indian Premier Narendre Singh Modi's influence on Sri  Lankan officials to handover a project to an  Indian businessman adhani.


The CEB Chairman had sent his resignation letter to Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wikesekare and he had accepted the letter it has been announced .

The Former CEB Chairman Ferdinando had later apologized on his remarks over Indian premier and announced he had withdrawn that statement he has made on Indian Premier Modi .
