Two Youth Were Drowned In Thambuttegama

 Two youth were drowned  in Lunu Wewa (River) in Thanbuttegama ,Anuradhapura District (North Central Province ) whilst bathing it has been reported .

The two youth were disappeared whilst  bathing in Lunu Wwewa along with a group of persons it has been revealed ,The deceased were 18 and 23 year old youth resided in Ahungalla  ,Galle District .Their bodies are at Thamuttegama Hospital .

A Fixed Price For White And Red Raw Rice Verities

 Consumer Affairs Authority had announced a control price for a Kilo gramme of White and Red Raw rice varieties with effect from yesterday (10) .

Accordingly the Authority had announced through a Gazette Notification   that the maximum retail price of a  Kilo gramme of both White and Red raw rice verities should be Rs.210 ,No one will be  authorized to sell ,supply and trade those Rice verities above the announced price the Consumer Affairs Authority had stated ,

Monday Has Been Declared As A Special Govt Holiday

 Due to the fuel shortage faced by the country at present Government has declared this Monday (13) the day prior to the Poson Poya Holiday (14) as a Government holiday for state institutions and a holiday for , Government and Private schools .

Although Monday has been declared as a special government holiday essential services will be maintained as usual the Ministry Of Public Administration had announced ,
