No Gas Distribution Today (27) -Litro Company

Litro Gas Company has announced that there will be no distribution of Gas today as well (27) and therefore requested consumers to avoid staying in queues to purchase Gas these days,

Today is the fourth consecutive day that the Litro Company had not distributed the Gas cylinders to consumers as a result of the US Dollar shortage issue in the country, Earlier the Company had stated that the distribution of Gas cylinders will commence tomorrow (28).

However long queues can be seen in front of Gas outlets despite the statements issued by Litro Gas company to avoid staying in queues in front of Gas outlets.

Employees Of State Printing Corporation Protested Against Rising Prices Of Essentials

Employees attached to the State Printing Corporation in Colombo had held a protest in front of the Printing Corporation premises last noon (26) over skyrocketing Prices of Essentials including Food, Fuel, and Gas without a limit.

Protesters also opposed the do-away of government employees' allowances. They had requested the government to go home without putting the public in further difficulties

Army Commander To Be Appointed Aa Chief Of Defense Of Stafff

Major General Vikum Liyanage who is the acting Chief of Defense Of Staff is scheduled to be appointed as the new Army Commander with effect from 091st of June .
