Due to the fuel crisis prevails in the island Ministry of Public Administration is due to issue a special circler for state sector tomorrow (24)giving special powers to the heads of the institutions to call only essential employees to the work .
Accordance to this new circular heads of the State Institutions can only call an essential employees to work with effect from tomorrow (24).

Proposed 21st Amendment To The Constitution Submitted To The Cabinet
The draft of the 21st Amendment to the Constitution which proposed to curtail the powers of Executive Presidency was submitted to the Cabinet today (23) by the Minister of Justice Wijedasa Rajapkshe .
The draft bill is seeking to reintroduce the features contains in 19th amendment which gives more powers to the Prime Minister and the Parliament ,However the draft bill retains the powers vested to President on increasing the number of judges to the high courts and President's power to dissolve the parliament only after two and half years .
The Cabinet is scheduled to be considered the proposed Amendment to the Constitution by next week .

A Ship Carrying Indian Food And Medical Aid Arrived In Colombo Harbor
A Ship carrying Food and Medical aid worth more than 2 Billion Sri Lankan rupees provided by the Indian Government had arrived in Colombo Harbor today (22) .
The aid consists of 9000 Metric tones of Rice 50 Metric tones of Milk Powder and more than 25 Metric tones of Medical and drug supplies was officially handed over to the Foreign Minister Professor G,L Pieris by the Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay .
This aid is scheduled to be distributed among beneficiaries in North ,Eastern ,Central and Western provinces according to the government ,
This food and medical aid consignment was flagged off from Chennai Port by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K Stalin on 18th of May. The second consignment of \food and medical aid send by Tamil Nadu government is scheduled to be arrived next week .

Government had decided to name separate Fuel stations to provide fuel for essential services including Tri forces ,Police and Health services personal according to Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe .
During the meeting held between Prime Minister Wikramasinghe and the committee appointed to look after the fuel crisis in the country headed by former MP Sagala Ratnayake ,Prime Minister had advised the authorities to provide Fuel for essential services through the Fuel stations functioning under the Cooperative Department .
