Island Wide Curfew Extended Until Thursday (12) Morning

 The Island Wide curfew imposed from yesterday (09) had been extended until 7 a.m on this Thursday (12) the Presidential Media Unit has announced .


During the curfew hours no one is allowed to stay in a public area ,Railway station ,Public garden ,Sports ground or a beach area without a written permission of an authorized officer the unit has stated .

Island Wide Curfew To Be Continued Until Tomorrow Morning (11)

 The Island Wide Police curfew imposed by the Police last noon (09) due to the tense situation occurred at Galle face protest site in Colombo will continue until 8 a,m tomorrow (11) morning it has been announced. .


The Police curfew was imposed earlier in North ,Central and Southern Colombo areas  last morning (09) and later it had extended to whole western province .However in the evening Inspector General Of Police  had announced that an  Island wide curfew is being imposed until this morning (10).But again that  had been extended until tomorrow morning

Galle FACE PROTEST WAS ATTACKED BY GOVT MOB


A  group supporting out going Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe had attacked the peaceful anti government protest at Galle face green in Colombo this morning (09) injuring at least 85 persons it has been reported ,The injured were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment ,

Few police officers were there among those  injured according to reports ,The Government backed group who  arrived at   Gotago village in Galle Face green this morning had also removed the tents used by protesters to sleep and removed anti government banners hanged at the village according to reports ,
