Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe Had Resigned

 Prime Minister Mahinda Rajpakshe had resigned from his post this evening (09) amidst ongoing protests against him and his government .

Prime Minister Rajapakshe had sent his resignation letter to President Gotabaya Rajapakshe this evening the Prime Minister's office has announced ,According to the Constitution with the resignation of Prime Minister the Cabinet becomes defunct .

Meanwhile the gazette notification regarding the resignation of Prime Minister Rajapakshe had issued .

The Ancestral Home Of President And Outgoing Premier Had Set On Fire

 A group of persons had set on fire  the ancestral home of President Gotabya Rajapakshe and Out going Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe  at Madamulana in Hambanthota distract (Southern Province ) few hours ago .

The entire house was in  flames it has been reported .This move came after a group of Government supporters had attacked the peaceful demonstration held at Galle face green in Colombo this morning . Meanwhile another group of persons had destroyed the  Memorial of the Father of  President and outgoing Prime Minister  late MP D.A Rajpakshe and his wife located in Madamulna,Hambnathota  it has been reported

LIOC Also Restricted The Issuing Of Fuel

 Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC ) too had decided to limit the issuing of Fuel for consumers with effect from tomorrow (09) due to the short supply it has been announced ,


Accordingly Oil refilling stations belongs to LIOC will issue only Rs.2000 worth fuel at once to Motor cycles ,Rs.3000 worth fuel once to the Three wheelers and Rs.8000 worth fuel to Cars ,Vans and Jeeps at once  it has been revealed .

However this limit will not apply for Buses , Lorries and other commercial vehicles  according to reports .

Sri Lanka Navy Had Taken In To Custody 240 KG Of Heroin

 Sri Lanka Navy along with Police Anti  Narcotic Bureau officials had today (08) taken in to custody 240 Kilo Grammes of Heroin along with 07 foreign nationals during a joint raid conducted in Southern seas .


The estimated value of the haul of Heroin taken into custody is around Rs.480 million  it has been revealed .The Haul of Heroin ,The boat used to transport it and the suspects are due to be handed over to the police .

A Consultant Had Refused To Treat A Minister At A Private Hospital

 There's a controversy risen in society over a specialist who had   refused to treat the Minister Of Public Security Prasanna Ranathunge at a private hospital in Colombo citing government's failure to address the issues related to current economic crisis .


Professor Ranil Jayawardena had refused to treat Minister Ranathunge who went to Lanka Hospital in Narahenapita to consult the Professor Jayawardena on a Thyroid problem .The Consultation fees paid by the Minister to the hospital also returned to him under the instruction of the Professor it has been reported 

The Sri Lanka Medical Association meanwhile had stated that although the consultant had refused to treat the politician at a private hospital due to a certain reason no medical professional  should  take this as a role model .
