Main Opposition SJB Wants No Confidence Motion Against

 The Main opposition Samagijanabalawegaya (SJB) Party had decided to boycott Parliamentary sessions until the no confidence motion which was handed over to the speaker against government is taking for debate .


The no confidence motion handed over to the Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardane few days ago should be entered in to the Parliamentary agenda by given top priority and taken into debate without delaying it SJB Party had announced today .

Deputy Speaker Siyambalapitiya Had Again Resigned From His Post

 The Deputy Speaker Ranjith Siyambalapitiya who was elected to the post yesterday (05) had again resigned from his post today (06) .


In a letter sent to President Gotabaya Rajapakshe ,Deputy Speaker elect MP Siyambalapitiya had stated that although he was elected as the Deputy speaker through  the majority of votes in the Parliament yesterday ,The  Opposition had criticized him and treating  him as their enemy ,Therefore he cannot continue with the post and decided to resign. 

Earlier too he had resigned from Deputy Speakers post .

CEYPETCO Restricted The Issuing Kerosene Oil

 Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) has decided to limit the issuing of Kerosene Oil  to 05 liters  a day per  a consumer .




A valid letter issued by the Ministry of Fisheries is needed When issuing Kerosene Oil for those in Fisheries sector it has been announced ,

CEPETCO had instructed Fuel stations not to issue fuel to Cans and bullies carried  by consumers .

Hartal Campaign Begun In Front Of Public Security Minister's Residence

 A group of people had begun a Hartal campaign in front of the House of Public Security Minister Presanne Ranathunge at Udugampola in Gampaha District (Western Province ) since this evening (06) against his actions over public   protests .



More than 500 persons are being protested in front of the Minister's residence and a heavy traffic prevails in the area as a result it has been reported .

Police security had tightened in Minster Ranatunge's house according to sources 

President Had Declared A State Of Emergency

 President Gotabaya Rajapakshe had declared a State Of Emergency in the country with effect from midnight tonight (06) according to the President's Media Division .


The State of Emergency had been imposed in view of maintaining the essential services and to protect wellbeing in the country President's Media has stated .
