No Decision Yet To Increase Electricity Fare

No decision has been taken yet to increase the Electricity fare  according to the Public Utilities Commission.

Inflation Rate Had Been Increased

 The Inflation rate indicated in Colombo Consumers Price Index for this month had risen to 29.8 percent according to market sources .


The Inflation rate recorded in last March was 18.7 percent it has been revealed .The Inflation rate had gone up due to the price hike of Food and non food items recently according to Census department .

Petroleum Tank Truck owners had launched this strike action against not increasing the transport fares coincides with the fuel price hike .The meeting held yesterday (29)between the representatives of  Private Petroleum Tank truck owners Association and the authorities regarding increasing transport fares of Petroleum Tank truck owners had ended without a result it has been reported .
