Sri Lanka Received 40,000 Metric Tones Of Rice From India

 A stock of 40,000 metric tones of Rice received from India under the Indian credit line is currently being sold to the public through "Sathosa " Outlets Island wide  it has been announced.

Accordingly White raw rice is being sold at Rs.145 per a Kilo ,Nadu Kilo Rice for Rs.145 and a Kilo Gramme of Samba is being sold for Rs.175 according to sources .A Consumer can only purchase five kilo grammes of Rice at once according to Sathosa .

Rebel MP Group To Support No Confidence Motion Against The Govt ,If The Govt Fails To Form An Interim Govt .

 If the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe has failed to resign from premier post and form an Interim Government  the 40 member rebel MP group functioning as an Independent Group had decided to support the no confidence motion due to be submitted to Parliament  by Main Opposition Samagijanabalawegaya Party against the government  it has been reported ,

According to the sources the  Rebel MP Group had held several rounds of talks with Samgijanabalawegaya Party regarding this .Rebel MP Group is currently holding talks with Samagijanabalawegaya party over the forming of an Interim government if  the no confidence motion approved in the parliament with majority of votes .

The MP Group had suggested the Main opposition to restrict the Cabinet to less then 20 members when forming of an interim government ,

Colombo Additional Magistrate Refused To Issue An Interim Order Against A Protest

 Colombo Additional Magistrate had today (23) rejected the request made by Colombo Fort Police to issue a Court order to  prevent an Anti government  protest scheduled to be held in front of  Galle face green tomorrow (24) coincides with the ongoing Anti Government protest in the area .

Colombo Fort Police had requested the Colombo Additional Magistrate to issue an interim order to prevent the Anti government protest scheduled to be held in front of Galle face green tomorrow organized by many University student groups including Inter University Students Federation and Inter University Bhikku Federation citing there's an attempt to damage public property during the protest ,\

However Colombo Additional Magistrate T .Prabhakaren had refused to issue an interim order against the protest by saying he has no power to issue a court order to stop a future protest  

Media Minister Godahewa Resigned

Media Minister Nalaka Godahewa  had handed over his resignation today (22) to  President Gotabaya Rajapakshe demanding to form an Interim government at this crisis situation it has been reported ,MP of the Main Opposition Samagijanabalawegaya Party Mujibur Rahman had revealed this in Parliament today (22).

MP Godahewa was appointed  as the Minister of Media by President recently ..However President didn't accept the resignation Media Minister's resignation it has been revealed .
