Police Had Interdicted The Kuttigala Police Sargent Who Participated Galle Face Protest

 The Department of Police had interdicted the Police Sargent attached to Kuttigala Police who had participated the Mass Anti Government Protest held in Galle Face green and displayed a Anti Government poster the Police Media Division has announced ,


The Police Sargent was interdicted with effect from 14th of April the Division had stated ,Earlier he was arrested and produced before the court by the Colombo Fort Police over an Anti Government statement he had made  whilst participating the protest ,However he was released on bail by the Court at that time .

Three Senior Police Officers Were Transferred Over The Incident In Rambukkana

 Three Senior Police Officers including the OIC of Rambukkana (Sabaragamuwa  Province )Police had been transferred with immediate  effect over the tense situation occurred in Rambukkana area last Monday(18) where a protester was killed and many others injured  due to a gun shooting incident ,


Accordingly OIC of Rambukkana Police ,Superintendent of Rambukkana Police and Senior  Superintendent of Kegalle district had been transferred to enable the eye witnesses and the party of the prejudiced to attend the court and independent inquiry on the incident ,

Meanwhile the Police Curfew imposed in Rambukkana Police division after the Monday's tense situation was lifted with effect from 5 a.m today (21).

Litro To Stop Supply Gas For Households Until 25th Of April

 The main Domestically used LP Gas provider in Sri Lanka  "Litro " Gas Company had stopped supplying Gas Cylinders for domestic use until 25th of April due to the limited number of Gas Cylinders available with the company  it has been announced.


Litro Company will only supply  LP Gas Cylinders to Essential services including Hospitals ,Security services Crematoriums and Corporate sector until 25th of April the Company has stated.

Galle Face Protest Continues For The 12th Day


 

61 Corona Positives Reported Today (20)

 Another 61 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (20) ,Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 663,006 according to the Ministry Of Health .


However no Corona deaths had been reported today in the country the Ministry has stated, At the moment 3949 Corona Positives are being treated at Government Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system it has been reported ,

Only 1685 PCR Tests and 1489 Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the country yesterday (19).

Prices Of Wheat Flour,Bread And Bakery Products Had Been Increased

 The Price of a Kilo Gramme of Wheat Flout had been increased by Rs.40,  following the fuel price hike with effect from yesrerday (19)according to the Prima flour company .


Meanwhile The price of a 450 Gramme loaf of Bread had been increased by Rs.30 from Rs.120 to Rs.150 as a result of the flour price increase the Bakery owners had announced yesterday .The prices of all other Bakery  products had been increased  by Rs.10 they have stated .
