Trade Union Collective To Launch A One Week Hartal Campaign From 20th

 A week long Island wide continuous Hartal Campaign is to be launched from this Wednesday 20) to 28th of April the Collectives of Trade Unions and Mass Organizations comprising of more than 300 trade unions had announced .

According to the Collective tens of thousand of people are due to  hold protest campaigns in every city of  the country for a week period to support the public protest in Galle Face .

Newly Appointed Health Minister Removed Mask Mandatory Rule From Today 18)Without A Valid Reason

 Although Corona epidemic in the country not yet been controlled .Newly appointed Health Minister Professor Channa Jayasumana had today announced that wearing Mask is not mandatory in public places except in Transport services and indoor meetings and functions with effect from today .

The Anti Corona Health guidelines implemented by Director General of Health Services (DGHS) has also withdrawn with immediate effect.

The reason behind the relaxing of Mask mandatory rule is not yet given .Countries including Britain, Germany and India had experienced fresh corona waves after relaxing Mask mandatory rule in those countries.

Thirty Seven Corona Positives And A Corona Death Was Reported Today (17)?

 A total number of 37 Corona Positives and One Corona death had been reported in the country today (17) according to Epidemiology Unit ,

Accordingly the Total number of Corona Positives reported so far in the country  had been increased to 662,827 and total number of Corona deaths had been increased to 16,495 the Unit has stated .At the moment 3779 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system it has been reported .

Lanka Indian Oil Company Increased All Varieties Of Petrol And Diesel

 Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) had increased prices of all varieties of Petrol and Diesel  by Rs.35 and Rs.75 per liter with effect from midnight tonight (17) due to the rising prices of crude oil in the world market it has been announced.

According to the new price hike the Price of a liter of Octane -92 and Octane-95 Petrol will be increased to Rs.338 and Rs.367 respectively .The prices of a liter of LIOC Auto Diesel will be increased to Rs.289 And the price of liter of Super Diesel will increased to Rs.327 LIOC has stated .
