Four Persons Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Collision aNONG wK

 Four persons including two females had been injured and hospitalized due to the collision of 17 vehicles at the Southern Expressway today (17) according to the Southern expressway traffic police ,


Accordingly 17 luxury vehicles ,Lorries and Vans had collided with each other at 23.3 kilometer post in Kalutra attached to Sothern Expressway .,

Due to this situation kilo meters long vehicle queues had seen towards Colombo iu  Dodangala Road according to reports .

Lanka Indian Oil Company Increased All Varieties Of Petrol And Diesel

 Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) had increased prices of all varieties of Petrol and Diesel  by Rs.35 and Rs.75 per liter with effect from midnight tonight (17) due to the rising prices of crude oil in the world market it has been announced.


According to the new price hike the Price of a liter of Octane -92 and Octane-95 Petrol will be increased to Rs.338 and Rs.367 respectively .The prices of a liter of LIOC Auto Diesel will be increased to Rs.289 And the price of liter of Super Diesel will increased to Rs.327 LIOC has stated .

All Government Schools To Be Resumed Tomorrow (18) For The First Term

 All Government schools are scheduled to be resumed tomorrow (18) for the first term after new year holidays .


However the decision that  had been  taken earlier to extend the school hours by one hour will be temporarily suspended until further notice Minister Of Eductaion Dinesh Gunawardane has stated ,

Police Trucks Parked Outside Galle Face Protest Site Removed

 Several Trucks belonging  to Police which were parked near the Protest site at Galle Face Green in Colombo  last morning (16)  where tens of thousands of Protesters are being protested ,  demanding the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapakshe and his government ,Had withdrawn by the authorities  accordance to the request made by Sri Lanka Lawyers  Association .


The Lawyers Association has stated that protesting is a fundamental right of the public and obstructing  the protests is against the law .
