Minister Of Power To Submit A Cabinet Paper To Increase Electricity Fares

 Minister of Power Pavithra Wanniarachchi had decided to submit a Cabinet paper to the cabinet next monday (21) regarding the increase of Electricity fares .

A discussion was held in this regard at the Ministry of Power yesterday (16) between the Minister and Electricity Board officials it had been reported.The proposal regarding the increasing of  electricity fares has been made by Electricity board to solve the current power crisis .

An Egyptian National Had Died After Falling From A Colombo -Badilla Bound Train

 A 32 year old Egyptian national had died after falling from the steps  of the "Udarata Manike'Train   travelling from Colombo to Badulla at pattipola train station  whilst on his way to Ella area yesterday (16).

The tourist who had been critically injured  after faling from the train had been admitted to the Nuwaraeliya Hospital and later transferred to a ptivate hospital in Colombo where he had succumbed to his injuries it has been reported .

The deceased had arrived in Sri Lanka a week ago and the post mortem of his death is scheduled to be held today (17).

Litro Gas Company Had Stopped Supplying Domestic Gas As The Stock Is Over -Distribution Of Gas Will Commence Tomorrow(18)-President"s Media Unit

 The main supplier of   domestically used LP Gas in Sri Lanka ,The Litro Gas Company had stopped the suppply of LP gas for households since yesterday (16) as the  stock of Gas available with them is over the Company has announced .

At the moment the  Gas provider had taken steps to supply  Gas cylinders for commercial purposes only  it has been revealed .

Meanwhile President "s Media unit had today (17)announced that the payments had been made to the two Ships carrying  LP Gas which are anchored in Sri lankan shores since 11 days and the discharging and distributuon of Gas stocks will be  resumed from tomorrow (17).
