Another 345 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (14)

 Another 345 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (14) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 656,386 according to Epidemiology Unit .


Accordingly 21,018 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and  under home care system the unit has stated . 

Only 3023 PCR Tests and 2109 Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the country yesterday (14).

Another Gas Shortage Is On The WAY

 There will be a severe Gas shortage in the country from tomorrow (14) If the authorities fail to discharge the Gas from a ship that anchored in Sri Lankan waters according to Litro Gas Company


.

The  stock LP Gas cylinders available at Litro Company will be finished by tomorrow the Company has stated ,The daily requirement of LP Gas in the country is 1100 metric tones and the required number of Gas cylinders daily  need for the country is 80,000 cylinders it has been revealed .

Government To Increase Bus Fares By Tomorrow (14)

Minister Of Transport Dilum Amunugama  has agreed to increase the Bus fares by some extent after tomorrow's Cabinet Meeting according to the  President of Private Bus Owners Association Gamunu Wijeratne .


Accordingly minimum bus fare will be increased by Rs.2- Rs.3 and the new fare will be Rs.19 or Rs.20 according to Transport Minister Amunugama .Other Bus fares are scheduled to be increased between 13-15 percent .The revised Bus fares are likely  to be announced by midnight tomorrow (14) he has stated.

Meanwhile All Ceylon Bus Owners Association had stated that the Association had requested the Transport Minister to increase the  minimum bus fare By 30 percent as a result of the recent fuel hike not less then that  percentage .

Cement Price Had Been Increased

 Due to the fuel price hike the Price of a Cement Bag in the local market  has been increased again by Rs.425-600 it has been reported ,


Accordingly the new price of a 50 Kilo Gramme Cement Bag will be between Rs.1800-1975 according to reports .The Cement Corporation had already increased the price of a 50 Kilo Gramme Cement Bag by Rs.350 and the new price of a Cement  bag is Rs.1850 the Corporation has announced.
