Price Control Committee Had Allowed Drug Importers To Increase Drug Prices By 29 Percent
The Price Control Committee of the National Drugs Regulatory Authority had today (11) approved a 20 percent increase of All medicines selling in the country according to the State Minister Of Drug Production ,Supplies And Regulations Professor Channa Jayasumana .
However Government Pharmacists Union had stated that the Government Hospitals currently have a stock of Medicines sufficient for 2-3 weeks and Private Pharmacies have Medicine stocks sufficient for a week period .

Wheat Flour Importers Had Increased The Prices Of Wheat Flour -Prices Of Bread And Bakery Products Too Increased
The two main Wheat Flour importing companies in Sri Lanka .The " Serandib " and "Prima " had increased the price of a Kilo Gramme of Wheat Flour by Rs.35 and Rs.40 with effect from today (11) .
With the new price increase the price of a Kilo Gramme of Wheat Flour in the local market had increased to Rs.156 it has been announced .
Meanwhile due to the increase of Wheat Flour price ,Bakery Owners had decided to increase A Loaf of 450 Gramme Bread by Rs.30 and other Bakery Products by Rs.10 with effect from midnight tonight All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association had announced .
Accordingly the Price of A Loaf of 450 Gramme Bread will be increased to approx. Rs.100 the Association had stated .
