Due To The Current Crisis Bread Prices Will Be Going Up To Rs.100 -Bakery Owners

Due to the Gas ,Wheat flour and fuel shortage the price of a loaf of Bread will be increased over Rs,100 according to the All Island Bakery Owners Association ,

If these shortages prevails further for another week many Bakeries in the island may have shut down the Association has stated ,Already more than 1000 bakeries had been closed down due to the fuel and ingredient shortages the president of the Association N .K Jayawardane has stressed .

508 Corona Positives Reported Today (06)

A total number of 508 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (06) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 650,140 according to Epidemiology Unit .

At the moment 15,668 Corona positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .

Only 4215 PCR Tests and 2456 Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the country yesterday (05) according to Health Promotions Bureau .

Another 10 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (06)

Another 10 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (06) ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 16,331 according to Director General of Health Services (DGHS) .

Accordingly 07 males and 03 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 07 were over 60 years of age and 03 were belonged to 20-60 year age group it has been reported .
