Ceylon Electricity Board To Implement Seven And Half Hour Island Wide Power Cut Tomorrow (03)

 Public Utilities Commission had permitted the Ceylon Electricity Board(CEB) to implement seven and half hour Island wide Power cut for tomorrow (03) due to the fuel shortage faced by the Electricity Board according to the President of The Commission Janaka Ratnayake .


Accordingly this power cut will be implemented as five hours from 8 a.m to 6 p.m and two and half hours  between 6 p.m to 11 p.m tomorrow (03) he has stated .Today (02) The Board had implemented a seven hour Island Wide power cut .

751 Coroma Positives Reported Today (02)

 A total number of 751 Corona Positives Had been reported in the country todsy (02)Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported  so  far to 647,699 according to Epidemiology Unit .


At the moment 22,140 Corona Positives are being treated at hospitals ,Quarantine centers and under home care the unit has stated .Only 4650 PCR tests and 2669 Rapid Antigen tests had been performed in the country yesterday (01)it has been reported ,

Another 23 Corona Deaths Were Reported Today (02)

 Another 23 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (02) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 16,267 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).


Out of the deceased majority were over 60 years of age the DGHS has announced .
