 If there's a short supply of Diesel further .Private Buses will not run tomorrow according to the Private Bus Owners .Long queues had been seen in front of Fuel stations in Colombo and outstation areas today (28) to collect Diesel as there's a short supply it has been reported .

Meanwhile the Fuel stations run by Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) are being taken steps to issue Diesel and Petrol to motorists on limited basis due to the fuel shortage faced  by the Corporation at present ,

The Sri Lanka Transport Board had taken steps to issue Diesel to Private Buses through their deports according to State Minister Of Transport Dilum Amunugama .

Number Of Daily Trips Run By Private Buses To Be Cut Off By 50 Percent From Tomorrow (28)

Private Bus Owners have decided to cut down the number of  daily trips run by Private Buses by 50 percent with effect from tomorrow (28) due to the current fuel shortage according to the president of Lanka  Private Bus Owners Association  Gamunu Wijeratne .

Accordingly from tomorrow Private Buses will be used to run only during office hours and  to meet the G.C.E A/Level time table he has stated .The daily trips run by Private buses during noon and after office hours will be stopped from tomorrow Lanka Bus Owners Association  President has stressed .

Due to the Corona pandemic and fuel shortage the number of Private Buses running on the roads had been dropped to near 8000 from 20,000 he has further said .
