Another 23 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (06) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 15,595 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).
Accordingly 12 females and 11 males had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 18 were over 60 years of age and 04 were belonged to 30-60 year age group it has been revealed.One of the deceased was under 30 years old .
Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) had increased the price of liter of Octane -92 petrol by Rs. 07 and a liter of Auto Disesel by Rs.3 with effect from midnight tonight (06) according to the Company .
Accordingly the Price of Octane -92 Petrol had been increased from Rs.177 to Rs.184 and the liter of Auto diesel had been increased from Rs.121 to Rs.124.
Three persons had been arrested with 1.76 Kilo Grammes of "ICE " narcotic in possession during a joint raid carried out by the Navy and Police personal at Erukkalampiddi area in Mannar (Northern Sri Lanka).
Two of the suspects were arrested whilst transporting the stock of Ice by a Motorcycle yesterday (04) and one was arrested with a three wheeler today(05) it has been revealed . The suspects who are residents of Mannar district had been handed over to Mannar Police for further investigations .
A total of 1287 Corona positives had been reported today (05) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 617,189 according to Epidemiology Unit .
At the moment 20,847 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .
